Income and expense tracker with separate wallets, budgets and private Drive backup.

  • No server for user data

    Backup is one hidden file in the user's own Google Drive, through the restricted drive.appdata scope. Coinly cannot see anything else in the Drive.

  • Budgets that keep their history

    Each period is sealed with the limit it had at the time, so raising a cap in August never rewrites July.

Voice expense tracker: speak an expense, or let payment alerts log it.

  • Read only what the user chose

    The notification listener drops anything not from an app the user added before its text is read. Card and account numbers are masked on the phone, and one-time codes are never stored or sent.

  • Never lose a payment

    Each alert is written to an encrypted inbox before any network call, retried with WorkManager when the phone is offline, and fingerprinted so it is never recorded twice.

Document scanner with its own page detection and PDF writer. No ads, no account.

  • Lines, not contours

    A thumb or a shadow breaks a page's outline. Detection builds the page from Hough lines instead, and scores each candidate by edge support and a consistent brightness step across every side.

  • A PDF writer of its own

    Android's PdfDocument re-encodes images losslessly, several megabytes a page. Keepscan embeds the JPEG bytes as they are, and binary-searches a quality ladder to save under a size limit.

U.S. citizenship test prep: official civics questions, a spoken mock interview and the N-400 explained.

  • Matching answers the way an officer hears them

    A spoken answer passes if every word of an accepted answer is there, in any order and with extra words, but not if it adds a word that flips the meaning, so "the Vice President" never matches "the President". Plain Kotlin with JVM tests.

  • Content that can't drift from USCIS

    Both question banks are copied from the official USCIS documents and checked in the unit tests: count and numbering, the 65/20 marks, every translation, and that no wrong quiz option would pass the answer matcher.

Wryte

Fancy text for names, bios and messages: 154 Unicode styles, frames and kaomoji, styled inside any app.

  • Alphabets that line up by code point

    Many styles live outside the Basic Multilingual Plane, so every table is mapped by code point rather than by char, and a table whose length does not match the alphabet is dropped instead of shifting every letter after it. JVM unit tests cover the catalogue.

  • Styling text where it is typed

    An ACTION_PROCESS_TEXT activity shows the styles in a bottom sheet over any app and returns the styled text in place of the selection, or copies it when the field is read-only.

Pagewell

Opens PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, then signs, edits, merges and locks them on the phone.

  • Office files rendered offline

    Word, PowerPoint and old Excel files render in a WebView served from the app's own assets through WebViewAssetLoader, with network access blocked; .xlsx uses a native view that opens large sheets in milliseconds. Each renderer was chosen after a 30-file test on a real phone.

  • Fixing the renderers, not the files

    The PowerPoint renderer took text colour from the shape fill, so white text vanished on coloured shapes; the bundle was patched to read the font reference. Word bullets in Symbol and Wingdings private-use characters are mapped to real ones after render.

    Sole Android developer on an enterprise Warehouse Management System, built from scratch in Java for stock tracking, movement, automated placement and live production operations.

About

An Android engineer who owns the whole app: requirements, architecture, release and what comes after.

For five years I've built Android apps people depend on: features for Rize, Al Rajhi Bank's retail banking app in Malaysia; HR and business-assurance tools used by thousands of employees at Jazz; and a warehouse system that runs a factory's stock and production lines in real time.

On most of those products I've been the only Android developer, so I work end to end. My default stack is Kotlin, MVVM with Clean Architecture, Jetpack and Coroutines, with Java where the codebase calls for it. Outside client work I build my own products: Coinly, Onetap, Keepscan, Belong and Wryte are live on Google Play, and Pagewell is coming soon.
